2nd Semester!

AUTHENIATEING...Welcome to my BLOG Page! (2nd Semester)

1/7/2016

Today, Dr.Neat welcomed us back to SCHOOL! He introduced me to my new friend, Peter, who recently just came to CVHS. Dr.Neat is raising the bar on our websites... Thank heaven I have a really AWESOME website. All I need to do is work on my newest project, finding a way to encrypt code (I hate copy-cats), and take on a new language, CSS. What a challege.

Right below is a picture I took in my backyard.

1/8/2016

Hello everyone! Today, I was at class and we continued on our escapade to learn more knowledge. WOO-HOO! Dr.Neat then came up to the entire class and began talking of what it took to become a civil engineer. It was fun listening to him... but I plan too be a different engineer.

I think I'm going to become a software engineer... because in the future, I belive as computers get faster in translateing messages to another, we'll reach a point that silicon computers can't compute messages no longer in your regular binary numbers... but rather in two's or even ten's.

I think that is all for today... see you everyone!

1/11/2016

Dr.Neat was happy I created a page with CSS. He said that he wants to see my page. Other than that, I created a stairway and exported a .jpg. It was surpriseingly very easy! You can see it right below. We also watched the new JPL challenge where you have to siege a castle. Seems fun... I'll try to attend the meetings.

I also helped Peter today on his SketchUp model. He colored while I didn't color mine.

1/12/2016

Today, I helped Yatra create her pop-down menue. It went better than I expected! I didn't stutter, and Yatra was able to understand. She was so confident, she said that she will figure everything out, if I forgot to teach her something. She even rejected the idea of encryting my CODE! I do hope I can help more people.

Dr.Neat is even asking me to teach the class! WOO-HOO! MAN! I CANNOT WAIT!

1/13/2016 Wednesday Challenge #1

Hi everyone! Today, Dr.Neat created a new challenge.... (Classic Drumroll please...) createing a 1 x 1 foot cardboard box! WOW... To be honest, I kinda overestimated Dr.Neat on this one. You'll see that in my paper below!

Other than that, I helped Cole getting started on his dropdown menue. I want to help everyone! I even created a chat room so I can chat with my classmates on later days.

If you are reading this and are interested in learning more CSS, PLEASE CONTACT ME.

Wednesday Challenge #1

I helped Peter on his website today. I told him the basics, and shown him how to access this Flashdrive and how to update his website. Other than that, I helped other kids. Thats all for today!

1/15/2016

Hi Everyone... sorry I didn't update that much yesterday Dr.Neat... I was helping Peter on his website. Other than that, today we had a Fire Drill, and Peter was confused of what was going on... can't really blame him, the alarm just blaring off like that.

I'm plainning to add more things to my website. I don't know what, but I know that I'll think of something. I think I'll add a game. Hunter says he'll show me some of the source code he's going to make over the weekend. Hmmmm..... I want to have my own game.... maybe add it under downloads... but another issue for another day.

Game

I helped many of my classmates get multiple pages today. I helped Vladmir and Nathan update there FileZilla and learned a couple of more tricks from Dr.Neat. I tried my best and I was only able to complete Nathan's Website... other than that, Vladmir forgot to do his homepage, and I was given little time to update my website. Thank heaven for my flashdrive.

Other than that, I updated my pages and extended secureity on my source code... it was kinda boring. But, now if you try to see my source, you'll need javascript to decrypt it for you. Thats all!

1/21/2016 Wednesday Challenge #2

Sorry I didn't post anything yesterday. I was doing SketchUp and was making sure we had our measurments right. But for today, we had to present our ideas to the class! We had many questions, and many people had concerns about safety, and all the parts that would be needed. I had the idea of createing it out of alluminum sheet, and we could just cut it. But, I could be wrong.

You can see my images and Wednesday challenge sheet right below!

Wednesday Challenge #2

1/22/2016

Sorry for the short entry, but I'll have to make this quick!

I helped Matthew Skowronski on his multiple pages.... I forgot he added pathways to different folders, but I didn't consider that. REMIND me that I need to help Matthew on his webpage Moses. I don't want to mislead him.

1/25/2016

I helped Max today in getting multiple pages. I am so happy that he was able to get things done and that he was able to accomplish such a task. For the rest of the day, I made sure I updated my website, and learned new CMD tricks.

I want to create a calculator that can work with problems. Maybe I can use it with my Math homework. That is all for today.

This newscast has breaking news about code and new developments in the computer science field! Watch it! :3

1/26/2016

Today I helped Peter on his website. I told him the commands and created his Index file. He told him the CSS code and the HTML. Sorry for the short entry Dr.Neat. Peter had a difficult time with the commads.

1/27/2016 Wednesday Challenge #3

WOW. What a challenge for this one. WE had to create a 3D model of a sphere.... with only post-its! MAN.... I really learned a lesson on this one... I kinda feel bad for Hunter because he put alot of time on his design. You can read the entire story below... we ALMOST won. A special shout-out too Justin for helping us. Other than that, thats all for today!

Wednesday Challenge #3

1/28/2016

We got the resalts today for Cole's website... we then made a decsion, either to update our website, or to work on our car. I decided to work on my car today... after cutting up an entire cardboard box, I moved on to create a sleek, this car. It has a combination of both simplicty but yet, can complete its job. I hope I can win.

Right Below is a video that Dr.Neat shown us on Monday. It was the contraption that Mr.Wilton shown us on the first semester.

WE were practiceing more with SketchUp today. We created a tower that used the rotate tool. It was a little tricky at first, you really want to know what axis you want to use, and then plug in the degree measurement you want.

Other than that, you need to practice alot on the roatation tool. You can see the model right below!

2/3/2016 Wedesday Challenge #4

Sorry for not being to keen of writeing everyday entries Dr.Neat... my grades in my other classes have been going up and down and up and down again and AGAIN. But, I've been keeping up with my Wednesday Challege forms. I will work on them at home a will deliver pictures and a presentation tommorrow.

I also was given another challenge. To create a countdown to the days to Christmas... I WILL ACCEPT.

Wednesday Challenge #4

2/4/2016 CAR COMPEITITION

Dr.Neat wanted me to keep track of all of the Car Scores. Happy, I was able to see all my classmates scores! Many of them did well, but what struck me was that many of them didn't follow Dr.Neat's advice.

Despite there cool designs, and the time they put into there car, they forgot that there body was supposed to be a perfect rectangle. Many of them I noticed followed this rule loosely, or they were "sneaky" in createing a wheel. They will most likely be DQ'ed. Other than that, I will catch up on my WC4 form. Thats all for today!

2/5/2016 CAR COMPEITITION

I got the scores right at the bottom guys! I had the remove the FT on the scores becuase it messed up the formula on Excel. Other than that, Lyron won, and please tell me if I made any arithmatic errors. Look right below and download!

Current Scores (COMPLETED!?!?)

2/9/2016

We're back from vacation guys! Unfortunatly, Dr.Neat wasn't here today, and all we had to do was update our website. It was simple.. I found a numerical errors when numbering my Wednesday Challege's. But other than that, I fixed my .PDF links and emailed Dr.Neat. I hope he responds... other than that, thats pretty much it.

I've been createing a timer program, and I've been facing some problems. Its a .bat file, and whenever it count downs... it create a new line saying so.... each SECOND. Its a cool effect... but I'm quite sure that a person useing this timer doesn't want to see every second count down... its really weird.

2/10/2016 Wednesday Challenge #5

Hi guys! For this Wedenesday Challege, we had to create a doorstop for Dr.Neato. We had many great idea's, but I still liked my idea, createing a magnet. I know, it sounds weird, but I like subtile ideas. Something that works, but somthing that can't be seen. Either way, we lost, and it was a close one. You can see .jpg right below!

Wednesday Challenge #5

2/12/2016

We we're watching a project Mrs.Neat had been working on the past 40 years. It was about an observitory called LIGO. It was designed to detect gravitational waves, at such a precise level. We have currently two in the United States, and both of them act like a pengelum on a scale. It was very impressive.

Hi everyone! Today we watched Lyron and the program he made for the School. It was an application that would enter Locker room numbers for the normal person. It was pretty cool, but I think I can do the same. Judgeing by the looks of the app, it used .PHP to enter info back and fourth. I did the same thing with my Chess Club website (LONG STORY), but we didn't have enough revenue to host the server to make it be on.

Other than that, I think I will join Dr.Neat's app class. I would love to learn the algorithems that Lyron used on his project. He used .PHP, Java, CSS, and HTML. Pretty impressive, but I can do better :p.

Lastly, I'm planning to create a BB-8 droid at home. Im been looking at this DIY tutorial, and I've been finding all the materials I might need. Thats all for today!

2/17/2016 Wednesday Challege #6

Hi guys! Today we had a weird challege... we had to pass plastic rods? I know, its weird saying it... but it had much purpose when actually doing the challenge. It taught team cohesion and it taught about how important it is to coomunicate ideas. We even created several tactics when it came to some situations.

It was a little bit frustrateing at first, but after we got the main premise down (Passing the rods), all we needed to do was the teamwork.... and the execution. I'll post some images soon... other than that, thats all for today!

Wednesday Challenge #6

2/18/2016

Hi everyone! Today, Dr.Neat wanted to show the CAR2 results in the class. I told them that there grand average was around 4ft, and that everyone really needed to re-evaluate on how to make there design. It was a very cool, and it taught many principles of engineering. Other than that, we got images from yesterday, and that we we're able to update CAR2 results.

Make sure you get the updated .PDF guys... Manvel's car raised the average to 5ft when I was done jotting down the numbers. Thats all!
