We learned the class rules today. We went on Dr.Neato's page and learned about his website, and the
boundaries of Robotics
Course Description
On Friday, Mr. Wilton came to show his projects. He was desgining
a camera that could video record surgeries effectively in a surgical
setting. It could move 360 degrees, and extend its arm out. I was pretty
cool. We also filled a form about Mr.Wilton but we didn't quite fill it.
You can see it at the bottom.

Today we filled out the observation form about Mr. Wilton. We also started created our own webpage useing Notepad++. I had really fun doing this. We learned about HTML tags, and much more. We will do more tommorrow. Thats it for today!
8/18/15 TuesdayToday, we contined with the creation with our websites. It was fun! I learned a couple new tags that allowed me to change the page color. My classmate Hunter also demonstrated the tags used to create moving text on my webpage. I hope I can get it running.
8/21/15 FridayToday, we learned of last year's invention challenge. The "veterans" shown a device to control a pool ball a certain distance and velocity. It was pretty cool! They shown how they used google sketch up and how important is was to document important files and videos. They definitely told me the impotance of keeping up my website. For the rest of the day however, we worked on our spagetti bridge. We created 2 triangular bridges.
8/24/15 MondayToday we learned how to use google sketch up. Pretty cool tool! We learned how too export images and how to inspect an image. Below here is an image I took. Dr.Neat's son made it!
Today, I learned how to add an audio file to my website! I also learned how to attach a 3D model from Google sketchup, thanks to Will. I also learned how to make colored text!
8/26/15 WednesdayToday was a very busy day for our Wednesday Challenge. We created 3 bridges out of scratch... We created one bridge with BIG triangles as its body, one long spagetti bridge, and my personal favorite, a smaller triangle bridge. There're drying up right now. Hopefully, we can use them next week. Thats it for today!
8/27/15 ThursdayToday was an awesome day! We learned how too add links.
8/28/15 FridayWe watched our Veterans present there video about this years JPL challenge. We had to fire a ball within a target. We later watched a mythbustersvideo about escapeing alcatraz, and a video about a duck's echo.

We built more bridges for our Wednesday challege. Our newest additon was a bunch of spagetti glued together. I like to call it the strip. The rest of the day was just testing our bridges. We broke 2 of our original ones, and we documented some of our former brideges. We have 2 more bridges left to go before our final one.
9/01/15 TuesdayToday, Josh (Mr.Neats TA) checked our websites to make sure they we're updated. Luckily, I completed the most of my PDF's and my entries we're complete. For the rest of our time here in 4th period however, it was dedicated to the completion of our websites, and our bridges. It was a cool day.
9/02/15 Wednesday Challenge #1Today my documnetation on our bridges. WE have succeeeded on the triangle bridge. We successfully linked the two parts, and we plan on useing it tommorrow. I hope it works.
9/03/15
I was a success today! It was the day we would finally test our bridges. Our bridge was
able to hold a metal brace, and a little amount of water. It barely made it, but I felt
we were the only group that was able too hold that much weight. I felt we should get
1st place. We later found out that we did get 1st place, but barely.

9/09/15 Wenesday Challenge #2
We did our Wednesday Challenge!!!! WOO HOO! Today, Dr. Neat made us design a card house. We didn't win, and
our estimate was WAY off. Below are our WC challege form.

We updated our sites containing all of our WC data.
9/11/15We learnt of the models that our JPL challenge peers had created. Personally, I loved all of the models, but what conserned me was the portability of their devices. Even though they had wheels, they said that most of the materials was wood.
9/14/15We made a Jenga block in google sketchup! We also caught up on the links Dr.Neat wanted us too add and we saw our grades. We also updated our website.
We had a very eventfull day today. I almost got an F on my website! I had trouble trying to figure out how
to update my site of FileZilla, not knowing that all I needed today was to click the F5 button when I
entered into my site. I also learned the purpose of the HTML folder, and what to do when adding new things to
my site. Other than that, It was a great day!
9/16/15 Wendesday Challenge #3
Wenesday Challenge #3. Presentation.... would you rather write digits one to a million.... or do math class?

We continued of our Presentations today. You can see the resaults above. I learned that math is VERY imporatant in the beginning, and assumptions based on previous "encouters" are not wise. We got 4th place, which it isn't that bad, but, we could have gotten a better score if we only shown a little bit more work.

Dr.Neat wasn't here today... but that didn't stop me with my codeing! We watched videos on Mythbusters and made an
video form. We watched how you can polish poop...and an video of how you can drop from midair, and then run faster
when you hit the ground (Hit the ground running).

We did more sketch up today. We learned how too use the paint tools, rectangle tools, and several others. Cole did an excellent job demonstrating. I'm really confident with SketchUp!
I helped Alyssa today making her website live! She had made the common mistake of adding folders inside her website folder and then dragging them inside her html folder. It was a little bit confuseing at first, but once we deleted all of the extra folders, (there're were alot) we fixed it in a jiffy. You can visit her site right below! We also updated our resaults on our last Wednesday challenge!
Unfortunately Mr.Neat wasn't here today....;(. But, with the extra time we had, our subsitiute teacher told we we're to update our sites. I had a fun time. I spent most of my time researching on new commands on my website. I want to add more effects on my title page.

Today, I helped kids on making their website live. Many kids seemed to know what they we're doing, and very little asked for help. Other than that, I created an .ico file that I used for a head icon. It was fun!. It was created by an website called (http://www.faviconer.com/). Really cool site!
We listened to Mr. Wilton on the JPL challenges. He and Dr.Neato debated however, on the idea if our
inventors needed to use bungies or not. While Dr.Neat argued that useing bungies weren't replicateible,
Mr.Wilton said the main objective was too bounce, which should've been the main objective. It was an interesting
discussion.
Personally, If I were doing the challenge, I would use the same idea of a vaccum cleaner. First, kids could be
able to mann it safely, and, it can be quite powerfull as well. Compressed air can vault large objects far away.
Today, we we're able too see our curruent grades in Robotics. It was very nerve wrecking, but, I'm very glad of my grade.
I was one to the top contender's for the best website, but I didn't get first place due to my GIF effects...;(. But
no need to worry, I'll be back in the leg race in no time!
Current Grades!
Today, we continued on our journey in SketchUp. We first started up with a friendly warmup, createing one verticle
jenga block, and another jenga block horizontally. It was a little hard a first, but I was successfully able to do
it. But for the final thing we did today, we needed to create a CD. You can see it below!
